Owner-operators

No IT department and no time to wait on hold. Get straight answers when the device stops cooperating in the middle of a run.
ELD technical support for U.S. carriers
Digital Work Systems helps owner-operators, fleets and carriers get their ELD working the way the rules expect: setup, troubleshooting, driver training and help at roadside inspections. A device problem shouldn’t turn into a compliance problem.
Services
Six areas we cover for carriers of every size. Tell us what you’re dealing with and we’ll tell you plainly whether it’s something we can help with.
Get units paired to the right trucks and every driver signed in before the first dispatch. We walk your team through account setup, vehicle records and the first login on each device.
The unit won’t talk to the engine, the tablet keeps dropping its connection, or logs stop syncing. We work through cables, pairing, cellular data and app settings with you, step by step.
Practical sessions on changing duty status, certifying logs, making and annotating edits correctly on the ELD, and what safety staff should review every week.
Help drivers show their records on the display and send the data transfer an officer asks for, and check that the instruction sheets and blank paper logs the rules require are in the cab.
Review unassigned driving so it’s accepted by the right driver or annotated by the carrier, and work through malfunction and data diagnostic codes with the steps and paperwork the rules call for.
Add and remove drivers, set up dispatcher and safety manager access, move devices between trucks, and keep carrier and vehicle details current in your ELD account.
How it works
Step 1
Use the form or email us with your USDOT number, how many trucks you run and what’s going wrong. Screenshots of error messages help. Never send passwords by email.
Step 2
We reply in writing, ask for anything we still need, like error codes or the steps that led to the problem, and narrow down whether it’s the device, the connection, the account or the way a feature is being used.
Step 3
You get clear steps to fix it and a written record of what changed and why, so the next driver or dispatcher who runs into it knows what to do.
Why Digital Work Systems
An ELD is a compliance tool first. We treat it that way, which is why the help we give is careful, written down and on the right side of the rules.
We explain the rule behind each fix, so your team understands what the regulations expect, not only which button to press.
We never change hours-of-service records for anyone. When a log needs a correction, the driver makes it on the ELD, with an annotation, the way the rules require.
Support runs by email, so every answer is written down and easy to forward to drivers, dispatch or your safety manager.
We work with the ELD system you already use. No new hardware to buy, no switching providers to get help.

Extra hands for your safety and dispatch teams: onboarding for new hires, troubleshooting across the fleet and consistent driver training.
FAQ
We support ELD systems commonly used by U.S. carriers. Tell us which one you run when you reach out, and we’ll confirm whether we can help before any work starts.
No. We don’t alter or delete anyone’s records. We help you understand what a log shows and why a violation appears, and we walk drivers through making a legitimate correction on the ELD themselves, with an annotation explaining it, where the rules allow one.
Under 49 CFR 395.34, the driver notes the malfunction, notifies the carrier within 24 hours and keeps paper logs until the ELD is working again, reconstructing the current day and the previous 7 days unless those records can be retrieved. The carrier generally has 8 days to repair or replace the device. We can help you work out the cause and keep the paperwork straight. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Yes, within our support hours. We can walk a driver through showing the logs on the display and sending the data transfer the officer requests. Because we work by email, the best preparation is training before the trip, and we can set that up for your drivers.
Your name and company, your USDOT number if you have one, how many trucks you run, which ELD you use and a description of the problem. Screenshots of error messages are useful. Please don’t send passwords, login codes or driver license numbers.
